ALBANY Georgia Invisalign continues to gain popularity for one Albany, GA orthodontist as more people seek out of aesthetic options to treat orthodontic issues.
Dr. Dallas Margeson has offered the Invisalign option at his south Georgia orthodontics office since 1999. Since Align Technology- the pioneers of the invisible braces market who invented Invisalignintroduces new Invisalign products. Margeson offers many of them as additional treatment options to patients.
Since Invisalign was first introduced in 1999, the company has developed several more versions of the product, Margeson said. These include:
* Invisalign Full A treatment option that corrects malocclusion in simple and complex cases.
* Invisalign Teen- designed to patients who are teens and younger as well as compliance indicators and Power Ridges are included on this line. Invisalign Teen is a natural way to have permanent teeth emerge naturally and treats supra-eruption. Invisalign Teen was made accessible in the United States in July 2008.
* Invisalign Expressis one treatment option that makes use of up to 10 sets of aligners and is a lower-priced option for minor spacing and cases of crowding, or as a precursor to cosmetic or restorative treatments.
* Vivera Retainersare used to keep the retainer in place after treatment is complete for patients who underwent Invisalign or conventional orthodontic treatment. New retainers are made available to patients via subscription plans. Vivera Retainers were made available in the U.S.A in January of 2008.
According to the Albany, GA Invisalign provider, “Invisalign has been proven to be a viable solution for a variety malocclusion cases.” “This together with the aesthetic features that many patients would like and the oral hygiene benefits make Invisalign an ideal orthodontic option for many of our patients.”
How Invisalign Works
Invisalign treatment starts with the final result visible. A 3-D computerized model of the patient’s teeth is created, which depicts the patient’s teeth prior to and after Invisalign treatment. Margeson will make any needed modifications and the information is then sent to the Invisalign lab where the aligners are made.
Utilizing Invisalign’s ClinCheck software, Margeson is able to show patients every movement in the treatment process, aligner by alignmenter, throughout the treatment process.
Invisalign aligners consist of transparent, medical-grade plastic. They are custom-made to fit each individual patient. The typical patient receives four to six sets aligners during their orthodontic appointment. Each aligner can last approximately two weeks.
Margeson explained – https://www.britannica.com/search?query=Margeson%20explained that the set of aligners works in conjunction to gradually move teeth back into the correct alignment. The process typically takes between 9 to 18 months.
Oral Hygiene Benefits
Maintaining your gums and teeth healthy is easy with Invisalign treatment since aligners can be removed during drinking, eating or brushing.
“Tartar and plaque can build around brackets if patients don’t take care of their oral hygiene. Food often gets caught around brackets,” Margeson said. Flossing may take longer since floss threaders are required to maneuver between wires and teeth in order to floss properly.
Having removable aligners eliminates any potential obstacles. Patients wear their aligners, take them off them to eat or drink, and are able to brush and floss normally.
